On Schönrock's initiative, negotiations about a cooperation were held with the Scottish bathtub manufacturer Carron. Carron was initially to produce acrylic bathtubs for ACO for sale on the German market in two standard sizes. Then the Scots were to help set up ACO’s own acrylic bathtub production in Andernach.
